Elon Musk Accuses Biden of Diverting Social Security Funds; D.O.G.E Involved
Elon Musk accused Biden of diverting billions in Social Security funds at a rally just days before a high-stakes state judicial election. Musk also highlighted issues within the Social Security Administration, specifically mentioning new non-citizen Social Security numbers issued. The event gained national attention after Musk gave money to Wisconsin voters who signed a petition against ’activist judges,’ following a ruling from the Wisconsin Supreme Court refusing to hear a case saying the giveaway was illegal. DOGE, a cryptocurrency frequently associated with Musk, was mentioned in the context of the event.
Federal judge allows DOGE to keep USIP headquarters worth $500 million for free
Federal Judge Beryl Howell has ruled that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) can retain the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) headquarters building, valued at an estimated $500 million. This decision comes after days of controversy over the building’s status. Although the formal dispute continues in court, the judge stated that the building transfer has already taken place and cannot be undone. On Saturday, Doge officials transferred the Washington, DC-located USIP headquarters to the General Services Administration (GSA). Judge Howell noted that the transfer is now complete, making the plaintiffs’ request to block it moot at this time.
